A pocas horas del asesinato de Alejandro Arcos Catalán ya hay suplente para su gobierno. Se trata del doctor Gustavo Alarcón que asegura tener la voluntad para tomar las riendas del ayuntamiento. Explica que si bien tiene cierto miedo, es su responsabilidad asumir el gobierno. Hasta el momento es cuidado por policías estatales y municipales y espera recibir protección federal una vez que asuma el cargo.
Arturo Zaldívar no se guardó nada contra los ministros de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación al asegurar que no pueden invalidar la reforma judicial porque no tienen atribuciones para eso. Asegura que se están extralimitando en sus funciones y que la Corte está funcionando políticamente para defender sus privilegios desde un interés político y personal.
El exministro Arturo Zaldívar celebró la estrategia de seguridad presentada por el gobierno de Claudia Sheinbaum en voz del secretario de Seguridad, Omar García Harfuch. Asegura que está muy bien diseñada pues se tiene una idea clara para revertir el poder del crimen organizado.
