El episodio comienza narrando el descubrimiento en 1971 por un lugareño en el Valle del Cauca y cómo la prensa local bautizó al objeto como “la esfera de Buga”. A partir de ahí, los presentadores detallan las primeras pruebas —fotografías, radiografías y testimonios— que encendieron el interés de ufólogos y científicos aficionados.
Se hace hincapié en la personalidad de Joseph Lemoine, uno de los primeros astrofísicos que estudió la esfera, y en las supuestas mediciones de emisión de radiofrecuencia anómalas. Se citan fragmentos de entrevistas de archivo donde se comentan colores, peso y textura del objeto, y se contraponen versiones sobre posibles imitaciones metálicas o cerámicas.
En la segunda parte, Laura Falcó expone las explicaciones más escépticas: desde un globo meteorológico modificado hasta una pieza de arte industrial descartada. Lorenzo reflexiona sobre la dificultad de datar el material y los riesgos de sobre interpretar fenómenos con datos parciales. Cierran el capítulo con un guiño a futuros invitados que aportarían análisis químicos más exhaustivos.
