Hay algo que siempre parece fuera de lugar en las noticias recientes sobre los vínculos entre América Latina, China y Estados Unidos. Los países de la región, especialmente los del sur, no tienen forma de prescindir de su relación con China, pero desde Washington se habla como si eso fuera factible, y hay líderes que actúan como si esto realmente fuera posible. El asunto es que ese juego tiene consecuencias. En Panamá, a partir de la presión de Trump, la Justicia le revocó la concesión de dos terminales portuarias a una compañía china. En Perú, el puerto de Chancay se ha vuelto blanco de exigencias estadounidenses. En Argentina, Milei hace malabares para alinearse con la Casa Blanca y limitar una participación china que ha sido clave para el país. La pregunta es cómo ven este escenario desde Beijing: cómo interpretan este avance agresivo de Estados Unidos sobre la región, y qué margen real tienen nuestros países en medio de esa tensión. Para tratar de responder a eso hablamos con Marusia Musacchio, investigadora y analista internacional especializada en Asia, que vivió y trabajó durante una década en China y hoy vive en Estados Unidos.
