Al menos 30 candidatos han sido asesinados en el actual proceso electoral en México. Los medios locales ya lo califican como el más violento de la historia, mientras el país se prepara para las elecciones generales más grandes que haya tenido. El 2 de junio no sólo se define la presidencia, sino también 20.000 cargos estatales y locales. Y son precisamente estos últimos, los candidatos municipales, quienes corren mayor peligro. En este episodio hablamos con la periodista Julia Galiano, que nos cuenta lo que está pasando en Guanajuato, uno de los estados más letales para aspirantes a cargos electivos. Luego, Mónica Meltis, politóloga y directora ejecutiva de la ONG Data Cívica, nos ayuda a entender cómo se ha expandido la violencia en el país y por qué los grupos criminales buscan incidir cada vez más en la política local.
