Las hamburguesas han dejado de ser solo pan, carne y queso. Un fenómeno que se ha disparado y que se ha convertido en un gran negocio. ‘Equipo de investigación’ se adentra en los concursos para elegir las mejores hamburguesas.
Las hamburguesas ya no son lo que eran. Convertidas en iconos del foodporn y en fenómeno cultural y económico, se han colado en las cartas de restaurantes gourmet, en ferias gastronómicas y hasta en concursos con audiencias masivas. En Burguermanía, Glòria Serra y su equipo investigan un negocio que en España mueve más de 2.800 millones de euros al año y que ha transformado la carne picada en un producto de culto. ¿Qué hay detrás del boom de las hamburguesas? Mucho marketing, ingredientes secretos, batallas legales y premios de dudosa legitimidad.
El programa se adentra en el funcionamiento interno de campeonatos como el de la mejor hamburguesa de España, donde ganar puede suponer una subida del 50% en las ventas y atraer a miles de comensales. Pero también destapa las zonas grises: rankings sin jurados conocidos, intoxicaciones silenciadas, y disputas por la autoría de recetas premiadas. Los concursos se han convertido en una poderosa herramienta de promoción, aunque a menudo más centrados en la viralidad que en el rigor gastronómico.
Además, el reportaje explora los entresijos de la industria: desde la selección del animal —cada vez más vacas gallegas y bueyes madurados— hasta los obradores que procesan toneladas de carne al día. También analiza el papel de los influencers, los fotógrafos de hamburguesas, los food trucks y los restaurantes que diseñan campañas millonarias para hacerse virales. Todo suma en una batalla por atraer a un cliente cada vez más exigente y saturado.
Y mientras el mercado se llena de opciones con panes brioche, salsas secretas y carnes selectas, el episodio también plantea preguntas clave: ¿Qué estamos comiendo realmente? ¿Qué lleva esa hamburguesa que brilla en Instagram? ¿Y cuánto de lo que se promociona es auténtico?
