'Ultima escala' es una novela de Marta San Miguel (Libros del Asteroide) que nos cuenta la vida del músico Enrique/ Enric Granados. Su última escala vital fue el puerto de Folkestone , al sur de Inglaterra. Volvía de triunfar en Estados Unidos y , de vuelta a España, embarca en el Sussex para cruzar el Canal de la Mancha, pero el 24 de marzo de 1916, un torpedo alemán impacto en el barco y Enric Granados y su esposa Amparo Gal murieron ahogados. A partir de esta tragedia, Marta San Miguel reconstruye con brillantez literaria la vida del músico catalán a través de su genio y grandes dotes para la interpretación y la composición. Un genio que se fue muy pronto, a los 49 años, y hoy es considerado uno de los grandes nombres de la música española. La vida no le dio para poder disfrutar en vida de su éxito. Marta San Miguel , además de hablar de su libro que es lo que tocaba, nos donó y recomendó la lectura de un poemario , 'El rayo que no cesa' de Miguel Hernández (Lunwerg). Antes, nuestro bibliotecario Antonio Martínez Asensio no contó en tres minutos 'La perla' de John Streinbeck (Edhasa) y nos avanzó el libro que nos contará en su programa "Un libro, una hora" que será 'Oscuro Sendero" de Elena Fortún (Renacimiento). También tuvimos dos novedades con Pepe Rubio que fueron 'Mister Ángel Del Río" de Enrique Andrés Ruiz (Periférica) y 'La ópera de los tres centavos' de Bertold Brecht (Libros del zorro rojo). Pascual Donate rescató del abandono de la redacción de la SER la novela 'La liebre y yo' de Chloe Dalton (Libros del Asteroide). Y finalmente las donaciones de los oyentes que fueron: 'Dune' de Frank Herbert (DeBolsillo) y 'Los días perfectos' de Jacobo Bergareche (Libros del Asteroide)
