Programa 617: El camino de Santiago: origen, juego y simbología

EL Camino Jacobeo es mucho más que una ruta: es una mezcla fascinante de historia, fe, símbolos, leyendas y hasta misterios curiosos. Todo empieza en el siglo IX, cuando se descubre en Galicia la supuesta tumba del apóstol Santiago el Mayor y el rey Alfonso II de Asturias es el primer peregrino. Rápidamente se convierte en uno de los tres grandes destinos de peregrinación cristiana (junto a Roma y Jerusalén). Francisco Narla, autor de la novela histórica “Ultreia”, ambientada en la Compostela de 1117, narra la rebelión ciudadana contra el obispo Diego Gelmírez, un personaje con muchos claroscuros y su relación con la reina Urraca I de León, lo cual nos ayudará a entender cómo surge el Codex Calixtinus, el afianzamiento de la ruta y el inicio de la construcción de la catedral románica de Santiago.
Nuestro siguiente invitado, el escritor Sebastián Vázquez, estudioso del pensamiento heterodoxo y autor de “De oca en oca por el Camino de Santiago”, nos ayudará a explorar la teoría de que el tradicional Juego de la Oca es un mapa simbólico y esotérico del Camino Francés, que oculta claves sagradas y de sabiduría ancestral que guían al peregrino en su viaje espiritual hacia Santiago de Compostela y Muxía. Sugiere que las casillas de la oca y el tablero representan lugares, hitos y símbolos, sirviendo de guía iniciática donde las estrellas, la Vía Láctea, los griales, las órdenes monacales y de caballería y las advocaciones a la Virgen María son fundamentales parta entender su profundo significado de transformación, de muerte y renacimiento. Miguel Salas aportará su relato bífido, esta vez en torno a una de las figuras importantes del camino jacobeo, San Roque.
En la Extróbula: Marcos Carrasco analizará el Pórtico de la Gloria de la catedral de Santiago de Compostela, su policromía y la extraña sonrisa del profeta Daniel. Francisco Narla sobre la figura legendaria del maestro Mateo y el santo dos croques. Carlos Canales sobre ciertas leyendas que fueron asociadas al Camino como el gallo y la gallina que cantaron después de asadas. Juan Ignacio Cuesta cantará una canción del Llibre Vermell de Montserrat, manuscrito medieval del siglo XIV.
