El nombre de Miguel Ángel Tobías se ha convertido en un referente del audiovisual español comprometido con los valores humanos, la conciencia social y la transformación personal. Productor, director, escritor y conferenciante vasco, ha desarrollado una carrera marcada por proyectos de gran éxito y obras literarias centradas en la superación y el sentido de la vida. Entre sus trabajos más relevantes destacan:
• Sueños de Haití (2010), rodado tras el devastador terremoto que asoló Haití con el objetivo de recaudar fondos y visibilizar la tragedia humanitaria. • El proyecto televisivo Efecto ciudadano (2013) donde muestra historias reales de personas que dedican su tiempo y esfuerzo a ayudar a otros sin pedir nada a cambio. • Gurba, la condena (2014), documental centrado en la situación del pueblo saharaui y las violaciones de derechos humanos en los campamentos de refugiados. • Rising Nepal (2016), filmado tras el terremoto de Nepal para ayudar a las víctimas mediante campañas solidarias junto a organizaciones humanitarias. • Me llamo Gennet (2019), largometraje inspirado en la historia real de la primera mujer sordociega congénita española en obtener un título universitario. • El Camino Interior, una serie documental centrada en la salud mental, el crecimiento personal y la búsqueda del equilibrio emocional a través del Camino de Santiago.
Actualmente trabaja en Life’s Ice (El hielo de la vida), centrado en la protección del Ártico o su último proyecto, Cáscara de nuez, una travesía a vela desde España hasta América junto a 11 desconocidos que pusieron sus límites físicos y emocionales a prueba en mitad del océano Atlántico. Además, en el ámbito literario, Miguel Ángel publicó el libro Renacer en los Andes, una obra autobiográfica donde relata la experiencia extrema que vivió al perderse en la cordillera andina y enfrentarse a la muerte.
