Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ya no era solo el niño prodigio que había asombrado a Europa. Ahora empezaba otra batalla: encontrar su lugar en un mundo donde los músicos podían ser admirados por reyes y nobles, pero seguían dependiendo de salarios, permisos, encargos y protectores.
En este segundo episodio de El mundo de Mozart, seguimos al joven Wolfgang en su choque con Salzburgo, su relación cada vez más tensa con el poder del príncipe-arzobispo Colloredo y sus viajes por una Europa donde la música era arte, pero también prestigio, propaganda y negocio.Italia, Mannheim y París se convierten en escenarios clave de una búsqueda desesperada: la de un compositor que quiere vivir de su talento sin ser tratado como un criado de lujo.
Pero ese viaje hacia la libertad también le traerá frustración, deudas, amores imposibles y una de las pérdidas más duras de su vida: la muerte de su madre, Anna Maria Mozart, en París.
