Sacrificio: ritual, ascesis, violencia

Paula e Inés reflexionan en este episodio sobre la idea de sacrificio. Comienzan preguntándose qué es a través de «La tradición visual del sacrificio de Isaac y su pervivencia en el audiovisual contemporáneo» (una tesis doctoral de Andrés Herraiz Llavador) y el libro «La violencia y lo sagrado» de René Girard. A través de estas lecturas proponen distintas definiciones de sacrificio: como ritual sagrado o como instrumento de prevención de la violencia. Explican también dos sacrificios famosísimos: el de Ifigenia y el de Isaac. ¿Qué nos dicen estos ejemplos sobre la noción de sacrificio? ¿Qué diferencias propone Kierkegaard entre el «héroe trágico» y el «caballero de la fe»? Terminan la parte introductoria viendo la importancia de este concepto en la historia de las religiones a través del artículo «Sobre el concepto de sacrificio en la historia de las religiones» de Sergio Valverde Sánchez. Después proponen dos tipos de sacrificio: el sacrificio amoroso, a través de la figura «Ascesis» de «Fragmentos de un discurso amoroso» de Roland Barthes; y el sacrificio ético y político, a través del cuento «Quienes se marchan de Omelas» de Ursula K. Le Guin. El cuento les sirve para preguntarse quién podría ser hoy en día el niño del cuarto de Omelas, a lo que plantean tres respuestas: (1) los moderadores de contenido de las grandes plataformas, (2) las personas migrantes y (3) las zonas de sacrificio. Para analizar estos temas citan «More than 140 Kenya Facebook moderators diagnosed with severe PTSD», «Sacrificios humanos» de María Fernando Ampuero y «Zona de sacrificio: Gaza», de Antonio González-Ruibal.
