Pese a las amanezcas recurrentes de Donald Trump contra migrantes, incluidos los mexicanos, Juan Iván Peña Néder, presidente del Comité Promotor Nacional de México Republicano, descarta que las acciones de parte del presidente nos afectarán contra el migrante medio de nuestro país quien incluso está favor del empresario. Asegura que sí se va a declarar a los cárteles como organizaciones terroristas como parte de las primeras acciones.

A tres años del asalto a los hoteles Mayaland y The Lodge perpetrado por hombres armados, el caso sigue abierto. Según Gerardo Sotos Rincón, abogado de Fernando Barbachano y Mayaland, la salida jurídica es sencilla porque ni la propiedad ni la posesión de los inmuebles están en litigio y de lo único que se requiere es de la intervención de la fuerza pública de Yucatán. El abogado asegura que esto no se ha ejecutado debido a que hay complicidad de parte de Mauricio Vila, exgobernador de Yucatán.
