250 años de la Independencia de los Estados Unidos

Por estos tiempos se cumplen los 250 años de la "Declaración de Independencia de los Estados Unidos", firmada el 4 de julio de 1776 en Filadelfia. Y para poder entender el contenido de esta celebración en este capítulo viajamos al siglo XVIII —un siglo de revoluciones entrelazadas, de ideas ilustradas que cruzaron a ambos lados del Atlántico y de Trece Colonias que apostaron a pensarse como una sola nación— para entender cómo varios procesos de reflexión y representación política terminaron por dar origen a uno de los textos fundacionales de la democracia moderna y el Estado de derecho. También analizamos los legados y las contrariedades presentes en el Acta de Independencia de las Trece Colonias.

El texto de la Declaración de Independencia: La versión en español del documento firmado el 4 de julio de 1776, redactado principalmente por Thomas Jefferson y editado por Benjamin Franklin y John Adams.
