Les hablaremos de la música, la gastronomía, la naturaleza y el arte además de la cultura boricua, un recorrido que haremos desde la historia y la identidad de una de las naciones que más fuerte late en nuestro corazón. Hoy exploramos la rica identidad sonora de Puerto Rico, un archipiélago donde la música trasciende fronteras geográficas. La isla suena a los cantares de la ranita coquí y los san pedritos, pero estos sonidos naturales de Borinquen tienen eco en una de las historias musicales más increíbles del mundo. Desde el ancestral ritual del areíto de los taínos hasta el fenómeno global del reguetón, descubriremos cómo la historia musical de la isla es un proceso de hibridación cultural que entrelaza raíces indígenas, españolas y africanas. Analizaremos pilares fundamentales como la bomba, la plena —conocida como el "periódico del pueblo"— y el sentimiento profundo del bolero, sin olvidar la explosión de la salsa en la diáspora neoyorquina.
