Hablamos del Santo que nunca existió, pero que se convirtió en el más famoso y celebrado de todo el mundo: San Valentín. Nos llega como una fecha de consumo, pero ese tal Valentín tiene una historia bastante difusa, y de hecho la propia iglesia eliminó su fiesta en el 69 del santoral, y es que había registro de hasta once San Valentines. Ni siquiera a través de sus huesos se ha podido contrastar, porque hay reliquias por todo el mundo que se atribuyen a Valentín. La versión y la historia más "famosa" es la que habla de un sacerdote de la Antigua Roma que desobedeciendo las órdenes del emperador, casó en secreto a jóvenes soldados que lo tenían prohibido. Fue encarcelado y decapitado el 14 de febrero. Cuando el cristianismo comenzó a sustituir las fiestas paganas por las suyas, encasquetaron esta historieta a esta fecha.
