¿Qué pasaría si un gran apagón colapsara el país? ¿Y si fuera solo el principio de algo mucho mayor? En este episodio de Equipo de Investigación, Gloria Serra y su equipo se sumergen en el mundo de los “preparacionistas”, personas que viven listas para el desastre. Una comunidad creciente en España que, entre mochilas de emergencia, generadores y búnkeres, está convencida de que el próximo colapso —sea una catástrofe natural, una guerra o un fallo tecnológico— no es una cuestión de si ocurrirá, sino de cuándo.
Todo comienza con un apagón real: el 28 de abril, miles de personas se quedan sin luz en toda España y Portugal. Las líneas de metro colapsan, los comercios cierran, las comunicaciones se caen y los ciudadanos descubren su fragilidad. En medio del caos, el programa acompaña a quienes estaban preparados: generadores portátiles, reservas de agua y comida, radios de onda corta y planes de evacuación. Algunos llevan años organizando su vida en torno a la autosuficiencia. Otros han empezado a hacerlo desde ese día.
La industria de la supervivencia crece. Cursos de 72 horas en la naturaleza, mochilas tácticas por 2.000 €, hornillos de campaña, velas caseras, filtros para potabilizar agua o conservas caseras llenan tiendas especializadas. La fiebre por los búnkeres también se dispara: empresas españolas fabrican refugios blindados por encargo y los venden como chalets subterráneos de lujo o como alternativa a un futuro incierto. El reportaje viaja incluso a Suiza, país líder en protección civil, donde cada ciudadano tiene asignado un lugar en un búnker público y se les entregan pastillas de yodo y aplicaciones para emergencias.
A medio camino entre la paranoia y la prevención, el episodio nos obliga a reflexionar: ¿Estamos preparados para lo imprevisible? ¿Hasta dónde llega la responsabilidad de los gobiernos? ¿Y qué papel juega el negocio del miedo? Un reportaje que pone en el centro el pulso entre seguridad, autonomía y supervivencia en un mundo cada vez más incierto.
