Què tenen en comú l’Església evangèlica pentecostal, els homeòpates i pseudoterapeutes, els fons d’inversió immobiliaris o el Palmar de Troya? Que són dogmàtics i creuen en una idea fixa, ja sigui una doctrina religiosa, una pseudociència o que el mercat es regula sol? Sí. Que són misògins i homòfobs? També, probablement. Però sobretot que són negocis fraudulents i èticament reprovables, estafes, en què uns pocs guanyen i la gran majoria dels implicats, molts d’ells enganyats, perden diners.
Avui per primer cop som al Maresme, la Franja de Gaza de Catalunya, tant per la forma que té com per la seva infraestructura ferroviària, i parlarem de tot això: d’estafadors de tota mena sense escrúpols, de sectes i rentats de cervell, de gent que s’aprofita dels més vulnerables i els entabana per robar-los els diners. Quina possibilitat hi ha que qualsevol persona, per molt intel·ligent que sigui, pugui acabar en una secta? Per què la justícia no persegueix molts d’aquests grups sectaris? Com s’ho fan els estafadors per captar les seves víctimes? Les esglésies evangèliques també són sectes? Com funcionen els fons voltor i el món de la inversió immobiliària des de dins?
De tot això i molt més parlarem amb la persona que més en sap, amb moltíssima diferència. Masnoví de naixement, youtuber, periodista d’investigació i ara també el seu propi jefe i CEO de Voltor & Voltor, el nostre convidat és probablement l’única persona al món que parli encara més ràpid que el Marc Lesan en aquest pòdcast. Va començar amb una sabata i una espardenya fent vídeos a YouTube, i tot era tan precari que vivia en un vaixell i tenia només dues peces de roba que no es canviava mai. Ara és un documentalista exitós que, després de destapar desenes d’estafes i sectes fent periodisme d’infiltració, té un Premi Ondas i una docusèrie a Televisió Espanyola. Avui ens acompanya en Carles Tamayo, un dels millors storytellers del país i tot un referent per aquells que, d’alguna forma, intentem fer periodisme i fer el que ens rota des dels marges.
