Históricamente, esa palabra se refiere a la organización de Los Iluminados de Baviera, una sociedad secreta de la época de la Ilustración, fundada el 1 de mayo de 1776 por el profesor universitario Adam Weishaupt. Vale. Hasta aquí lo que todo el mundo sabe, pero queremos conocer toda la verdad y nada mejor que contar con el escritor, historiador y profesor de la Universidad Carlos III Eduardo Juárez Valero, autor de “Eso no estaba en mi libro de historia de los Illuminati”, para que nos hable no solo de sus orígenes y de su estructura, sino también de sus miembros más destacados (como Goethe), de su supuesto final, de sus símbolos, sus consecuencias y la evolución posterior de la “conspiración illuminati” hasta el punto de ser considerados un gobierno oculto del mundo. También contamos con el investigador Juanjo Sánchez-Oro que nos desvelará la importancia que tuvo en el resurgimiento illuminati las obras de Agustín Barruel y John Robinson, de la llegada de dicha conspiración a EEUU hacia 1798 de la mano del reverendo Morse, de los efectos que tuvo la I Guerra Mundial, de la revolución bolchevique y el antisemitismo de la escritora Nesta Helen Webster, de los “Principia Discordia” y del director de cine Coureval Fagan que editó conferencias para decir que Hollywood estaba infestada de illuminatis.
