Entregadas en cuerpo y alma a descubrir todas las vidas menudas del barroco, en este episodio llevamos a cabo una operación de reciclaje que no es, en ningún caso, fruto de la desidia, sino una respuesta a todas las oyentes que desde hace años nos pedís que recuperemos a una de las personitas más fascinantes, olvidadas y tergiversadas de nuestros siglos más favoritos. “Céspedes — Elena y Eleno de, natural de Alhama, esclava y después libre, casó con un hombre y tuvo un hijo, después y muerto su marido se vistió de hombre y estuvo en la Guerra de los Moriscos de Granada, se examinó de cirujana y se casó con una mujer. Fue presa en Ocaña y llevada a la Inquisición donde se le acusa y condena por desprecio al matrimonio y tener pacto con el demonio. Sentenciada a salir al Auto público de fé que se celebró en la plaza del Zocodover de Toledo el domingo, 18 de diciembre e 1588, al que salió en forma de penitente con coroza e insignias que manifestaban su delito, abjuró de leve, y se le dieron cien azotes por las calles públicas de Toledo y otros cien por las de Ciempozuelos, reclusión de diez años en un hospital para sirviese sin sueldo en las enfermerías”. Entre acusaciones de “embaidora y embustidera”, de “invenciones y embelecos”, “embustes y embelesamientos”, asoma toda la violencia inquisitorial volcada en vencer la molesta ilegibilidad de un cuerpo fronterizo. Con este primer folio del proceso inquisitorial que se le abrió a Céspedes, comenzamos nuestro biopic barroco más demandado hasta la fecha: reconstrucciones históricas delirantes, atosigantes miradas panópticas, asombrosas transformaciones anatómicas y un constante nombrarse y renombrarse en el espacio mismo de la ilegibilidad. Si no podéis vivir ni un minuto más sin saber por qué el apellido de la mujer de Céspedes parece un jaque mate desternillante a la disciplina inquisitorial, dadle corriendo a play.
