Consumidas por la fatiga después de un mes de trasiegos y excursiones, suspirando por un dulce regreso al estatismo de la clausura, en este episodio emprendemos un último peregrinaje prenavideño hasta la Iglesia segoviana de San Quirce para diseccionar, con nuestro escalpelo barroco, la que probablemente sea la categoría más odiosa de la subjetividad contemporánea: el turista. De la infame boda veneciana de Jeff Bezos al macroevento filipino-segoviano del siglo XVI; del empeño insaciable y colectivo por traducir lo monumental a lo íntimo a través del souvenir al muy recomendado turismo de stalkeo y el incontestable decálogo anti-turistificación de Gregorio de Nisa. En “Turismo gallofo, peregrinaje barroco” os contamos absolutamente todo lo que necesitáis saber sobre el batacazo del hype de la peregrinación medieval, sobre el peligroso espejo del afán acumulativo, desacralizado y consumista del perfecto jovencito humanista y sobre la reconfiguración de la práctica peregrina como viaje interior. ¿Es este episodio, amigas, un intento de convenceros de que os abstengáis de hacer tanto turismo y de que intentéis poner en práctica métodos más reflexivos para re-sacralizar vuestra relación con la geografía planetaria de una forma menos consumista? No, porque después de haber pasado un año encaramado a trenes, aviones, coches y autobuses este rinconcito terapéutico no tiene autoridad moral ninguna para hacerlo. Pero sí es una invitación a hacernos una pregunta importantísima cada vez que nos dispongamos a hacer una maleta: ¿De qué sirve viajar físicamente a Jerusalén, cuando llevas Sodoma, Egipto y Babilonia enteras en lo más profundo de tu ser? Si no puedes vivir ni un segundo más sin saberlo todo sobre la fosforescencia de los cochinillos segovianos, y sin enterarte de por qué santa nos harían pasar unos traficantes de reliquias fraudulentas que nos secuestraran y cortaran en pedacitos, dale corriendo a play.
