Hoy ponemos en tela de juicio ciertas afirmaciones grandilocuentes que solemos escuchar y que damos por ciertas, para ver que sí, pero no.

Ayer empezamos el curso de AppleScript, en el que aprenderemos a crear scripts personalizados para automatizar tareas repetitivas con nuestros Mac, para ser más productivo. ¡A por ello!
Y ahora sí, vamos a por esas afirmaciones, creencias o dichos que parecen verdades como puños, pero que quizás no lo son tanto:
- Sal de tu zona de confort
- Sigue tu sueño y lo conseguirás
- Quien la sigue, la consigue
- Tú puedes con todo
- Si trabajas duro, lo lograrás
- Sigue tu pasión y el dinero llegará
- Querer es poder
- El cliente siempre tiene la razón
- Haz lo que amas y nunca trabajarás un día en tu vida
- Se aprende más de un error que de un éxito
- El dinero no compra la felicidad
- Sé positivo y atraerás cosas buenas
- La edad es solo un número
- El fracaso no es una opción
- Si quieres algo bien hecho, hazlo tú mismo
- Nunca te rindas
- La suerte no existe, todo es esfuerzo
- El esfuerzo siempre tiene recompensa
- Se cosecha lo que se siembra
- Si tu producto es bueno, se venderá solo
- Sé tu propio jefe y tendrás libertad
- Reinvierte todo lo que ganas en tu negocio
- Debes estar en todas las redes sociales
En el episodio voy repasando una a una estas frases, vemos lo que tienen de cierto y lo que no, así como mi punto de vista del tema. Como veremos, frases como "Nunca te rindas" o "Querer es poder" inspiran y dan fuerza para superar obstáculos. Aunque no siempre sean realistas, ayudan a empujar a la gente a intentarlo. La motivación a veces importa más que la precisión.
Como vemos, muchas de estas afirmaciones son ciertas en algunos casos, pero no en todos. Por ejemplo, "El esfuerzo siempre tiene recompensa" funciona si el esfuerzo está bien dirigido, pero no lo garantiza. Estas frases suelen ser cortas, contundentes y fáciles de compartir. Se vuelven populares porque son pegajosas, incluso si no resisten un análisis profundo.
En el mundo del emprendimiento, frases como "Sigue tu pasión y el dinero llegará" o "Haz lo que amas y no trabajarás nunca" venden una visión idealizada del éxito. Esto motiva a la gente a empezar, aunque no refleje toda la verdad.
Estas frases suelen conectar emocionalmente. Alguien que está pasando por un momento difícil puede aferrarse a "Todo pasa por algo" porque le da consuelo, aunque no sea necesariamente cierto. Muchas personas repiten estas frases porque las han escuchado toda la vida, sin cuestionar si realmente aplican. Es más fácil seguir la corriente que analizar cada afirmación.
Cierto es que aunque no sean verdades absolutas, estas frases pueden servir como punto de arranque. Por ejemplo, "Salir de tu zona de confort" es útil para quienes tienen miedo al cambio, pero no aplica si ya estás en una situación que te está exigiendo demasiado.
