Ulises y Gerardo, dos payasos que se dedicaban a hacer reír a niños, llevan siete años en la cárcel por un delito que no cometieron. La acusación es tan absurda que se cae sola: que "unos payasitos" intentaron secuestrar a una menor en menos de cinco segundos, subiéndola a una moto, avanzando tres metros y bajándola.
Había videos. Había testigos. Había pruebas que mostraban su inocencia. Pero el tribunal decidió no verlas. No es un error: es una decisión. Una decisión de no escuchar, de no analizar, de ignorar algo tan básico como la presunción de inocencia.
Siete años no son un error. Son una responsabilidad. Hoy, los magistrados Eduardo Castillo Robles, Miguel Ángel Silva Santillán y José Alberto González Aguilar tienen en sus manos la posibilidad de cambiar esta historia... o de perpetuar una injusticia.
Mientras Ulises y Gerardo sigan en prisión, no estamos frente a un caso aislado. Estamos frente a una advertencia: en México, la inocencia no siempre es suficiente para ser libre.
