Lo que no se dice: cartografías del subtexto

Paula e Inés parten de la figura «Mortificación» de «Fragmentos de un discurso amoroso» para pensar acerca de lo implícito, del saber silencioso y de aquellos textos que estallan de legibilidad por aquello que no dicen. Las chicas le dan vueltas a la idea del «subtexto», a las cosas que no decimos y que existen en un nivel subterráneo de las interacciones humanas. ¿Qué es exactamente el subtexto? ¿Cómo funciona en las distintas producciones culturales? Buscan responder a estas preguntas partiendo de la teoría del iceberg de Hemingway y de ejemplos de subtexto cotidiano que utilizamos en nuestro día a día. También analizan el subtexto en el cine como herramienta contra la censura, como propaganda o como práctica estética en la película «El hilo invisible» de Paul Thomas Anderson. También exploran el papel del subtexto en la serie Mad Men, en la literatura de los suburbios del siglo XX y en «Tierra de empusas», la última novela de Olga Tokarczuk. Para terminar explican por qué les interesa «lo que no se dice» a través del debate que se ha formado en torno a la película «Anora», de Sean Baker. Para hablar de la peli y concluir su reflexión, las chicas comentan algunas ideas sobre los peligros de la imposición de significados únicos a través del ensayo de Susan Sontag «Contra la interpretación».
