Fernando López-Mirones es biólogo, zoólogo y documentalista y lleva treinta años investigando la relación entre las orcas y los seres humanos. Su hipótesis es “El pacto de la orilla”: un pacto secreto y una posible simbiosis interesada entre especies.
En este episodio de Roca Project, Fernando habla con Carlos Roca de la inteligencia de las orcas, de su capacidad para aprender y transmitir comportamientos, de cómo desarrollan culturas e incluso lenguajes distintos entre poblaciones, y de posibles ofrendas realizadas a los humanos recientemente. También responde a una pregunta muy actual: ¿por qué las orcas atacan barcos de vela?
Fernando se muestra apasionado y sin miedo a la polémica, adentrándose en terrenos como la teoría del Homo aquaticus o del simio acuático, el posible papel de la costa en nuestra evolución y en la epigenética. Además, presenta una de sus ideas más controvertidas: el origen del nombre de España y la posibilidad de una Atlántida ubicada en Doñana tras la que, según su hipótesis, podría esconderse el recuerdo de una civilización real.
