“Me duele el alma cada vez que recuerdo lo que le pasó a mi hijo”, con estas estremecedoras palabras, Jackeline García describe el dolor más grande que puede vivir una mujer: la pérdida de su hijo. Lo más escalofriante del relato, es que su hijo Salvador, murió a manos de quien alguna vez fue la pareja sentimental de Jackeline y padre del pequeño.
Ella cuenta con profunda tristeza cómo el hombre que decía amar a su hijo lo usó como herramienta de venganza, motivado por una obsesión enfermiza hacia ella. Su historia no solo conmueve, también indigna.
Tras la ruptura y el acuerdo de visitas ordenado por la ley en Colombia, la expareja de Jackeline se llevó a Salvador y se negó a decir dónde lo tenía. Día tras día, ella intentó comunicarse con él, suplicando respuestas, pero solo recibió evasivas. También acudió a las autoridades, pero la respuesta fue desconcertante: como el niño estaba con su padre, la Fiscalía no lo consideraba desaparecido. Así, Jackeline se encontró en una pesadilla en la que nadie parecía escucharla.
Frente a la indiferencia institucional, esta madre decidió actuar por su cuenta. Comenzó una búsqueda desesperada, apoyada únicamente por vecinos, amigos y conocidos que se unieron a su clamor. Durante días, recorrió calles, difundió su historia en redes sociales, pegó carteles y tocó puertas, con la esperanza de encontrar a Salvador con vida. Su fuerza y determinación fueron el reflejo del amor más profundo y desesperado de una madre.
Pero el desenlace fue devastador, Salvador fue hallado sin vida en las afueras de Cali, en un acto de crueldad que dejó a toda una comunidad rota. Jackeline cree firmemente que fue un crimen premeditado, un acto de odio dirigido a ella, pero que terminó cobrándose la vida de un inocente. Esta entrevista no solo busca contar su historia, sino visibilizar cómo el sistema puede fallar de manera atroz a las víctimas de violencia intrafamiliar.
