Mi invitada de hoy es Eufroisina Cruz. @eufrosinacruz

Eufrosina nació en Santa María Quiegolani, una comunidad zapoteca en la sierra de Oaxaca, donde le dijeron que por ser mujer no podía votar ni decidir. Se convirtió en la primera mujer indígena en presidir el Congreso de Oaxaca, impulsó la reforma al artículo 2° de la Constitución que reconoció el derecho de las mujeres indígenas a votar y ser votadas, y logró que México se convirtiera en el primer país de América Latina en castigar penalmente el matrimonio infantil. 

Es autora de Los sueños de la niña de la montaña, su historia forma parte del bestseller Cuentos de buenas noches para niñas rebeldes, y ha compartido escenarios con Michelle Obama y Malala Yousafzai.

En este episodio hablamos del precio real de la rebeldía: de cómo se negocia con el propio miedo cuando hay amenazas de muerte de por medio, de cómo se perdona a un padre violento sin justificarlo, de la diferencia entre usos y costumbres y abusos y costumbres, de por qué los subsidios pueden hacer más daño que bien, y de la pregunta que atraviesa toda su vida: ¿quién tiene derecho a decidir por otro?

Eufrosina Cruz aprendió a los 12 años que el origen explica muchas cosas, pero la decisión escribe el destino.
