En el programa de hoy, Fernando Villegas reflexiona sobre el concepto de barbarie a partir del trágico suceso ocurrido en el Estadio Monumental, donde una avalancha humana causó la muerte de dos jóvenes. A través de este hecho, examina cómo la barbarie no es sinónimo de estupidez, sino una condición cultural en la que desaparecen los filtros morales y legales que separan el deseo de la acción. Analiza cómo la barbarie se manifiesta en distintas capas sociales, desde el delincuente común hasta personas en apariencia respetables, y cómo esta conducta se ve favorecida por el anonimato, la falta de educación cívica y la ausencia de sanciones tanto en la familia como en las instituciones. También relaciona esta decadencia con la pérdida de normas en la sociedad moderna, la anomia, y advierte sobre la evolución hacia el salvajismo cuando ya ni siquiera existe la racionalidad instrumental. Finalmente, contrasta esta realidad con una época pasada en la que sí existían normas internalizadas que garantizaban una convivencia civilizada.
