Después de charlar un rato con Antonio Gómez Gallardo, abogado, se hace evidente que es imprescindible hacer testamento. Aunque en España sea tabú, no guste hablar de la muerte y tampoco del dinero, es importante buscar asesoramiento y hacer un trámite que no es caro de hacer (unos 70€) pero puede salir muy caro si no se hace. Los testadores tienen que tener en cuenta si sus herederos tendrán liquidez para pagar los impuestos que se derivan de aceptar los bienes heredados, porque por más que esté subvencionado el impuesto de sucesiones en muchas comunidades, eso no significa que heredar sea gratis. Además, una herencia no se puede aceptar a medias: si hay deudas, se heredan también las deudas. Desde su experiencia, Gómez apunta a que a los despachos de abogados como el suyo llegan los conflictos, no el 90% de las herencias que no generan problemas entre los herederos. Pero sí confirma que, como en "Puñales por la espalda", a veces el fallecido deja una sorpresa a sus confiados herederos, como en un caso de impugnación que él litigó en el que el fallecido lo dejó, por sorpresa, todo a su cuidadora. Cuando los hijos le dijeron que querían pasar por la casa familiar para recoger cosas de la señora, la ex empleada les aclaró, con elegancia: "ahora, la señora soy yo."
