¿En qué momento una sustancia deja de ser escape y se convierte en identidad? La historia de Edwin comienza a los 10 años, cuando decide abandonar la estructura de su familia. Lo que empieza con la necesidad de pertenecer termina en un ciclo de adicciones tempranas, drogas, violencia y prisión.
Edwin creció entre valores religiosos y la ausencia de una madre, quien trabajaba. A los 12 años ya consumía activo todos los días. A los 13, robaba para mantener su adicción. La cárcel se convirtió en el único lugar donde encontraba la estructura que afuera le faltaba.

Hoy, con 6 años de sentencia por robo a comercio, Edwin reflexiona sobre las decisiones que lo trajeron de vuelta a prisión por segunda vez. Sin ver a su madre desde hace dos años, enfrenta la pregunta más difícil: ¿cuántas de sus decisiones fueron realmente libres cuando la adicción ya había tomado el control?
