Nancy creció entre golpes, abuso y silencios que dolían más que las heridas. Durante seis años, un hombre abusó de ella casi todas las noches mientras su mamá trabajaba. Cuando por fin se lo dijo, no le creyó.
Las drogas llegaron como escape: cristal, coca, piedra. La maternidad llegó joven, con dos hijos, Ale y Edwin. Nancy trabajaba para darles todo, pero las adicciones fueron consumiéndola. Los hijos estuvieron con ella, pero Nancy fue perdiendo su respeto. Edwin cayó en drogas también. La relación se fue rompiendo hasta que ya no podía hablar con ellos, ya no la respetaban.

Nancy participó en un robo a mano armada. Apuntó con una pistola mientras otro hombre robaba el dinero de un Oxxo. La detuvieron. Los demás pagaron mordida para salir libres, pero Nancy no tenía dinero.
Hoy, desde la cárcel, Nancy recibe una carta de Edwin que dice: "El pasado nos marca, pero el futuro nos libera". Su hijo Ale está resentido porque siente que Nancy lo dejó solo cuando más la necesitaba. Edwin le pide que deje las drogas y que se haga responsable. Nancy siente el peso de todo lo que causó, el dolor de haber perdido a sus hijos emocionalmente por las adicciones, y la urgencia de reparar antes de que sea demasiado tarde.
Esta es una historia sobre maternidades atravesadas por la violencia, sobre culpas que pesan, sobre hijos que reclaman, y sobre la posibilidad —o la imposibilidad— de reconstruirse cuando todo parece perdido.
