Episode #149 Featuring Dr. Judy Morgan! The Interview the pet industry does NOT want you to hear! Who REALLY controls pet food and pet care? The TRUTH about pet food, vaccination and more!
When I was introduced to Dr. Judy Morgan, I knew within five seconds that I HAD to have her on my show. As many of you know, I am an avid animal lover and to be presented the opportunity to make a huge impact on animal healthcare and nutrition is at the top of my priority list and Dr. Judy is the epitome of who I needed to interview to make that impact! SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!
We begin the discussion with an explanation on what integrative veterinary medicine is and the journey to providing holistic healing and care for animals. This leads us to discuss the high level of impact animals and pets have in our lives and what we can do to work towards giving them the healthiest lives possible. This leads us into a discussion on traditional vs alternative medicine. Dr. Judy provides a full breakdown of the implications and definitions of what both TRULY are and the role they play in healthcare. We move into a discussion on pet food quality and the dangerous practices involved in our pets foods. Dr. Judy explains that Mars is not only the largest pet food company, generating even more money than their array of candy bars, but also expanded aggressively into veterinary care and diagnostics, owning thousands of veterinary clinics. Many of the most well known and top named pet food brands, like Royal Canin, Iams, Pedigree and more all fall under their umbrella. Dr. Judy explains that one of the main reasons animals have trouble switching food is that addictive additives that are put into foods to keep them only wanting to eat those brands and types. The DISGUSTING practices we deal with on the human level, is just as bad with animals. This leads into the vaccine discussion and how often animals and pets are OVER vaccinated, often times creating big problems for our pets that have horrific health implications and she cites several studies that are in the open for everyone to view as they wish. Dr. Judy gives a breakdown of the differences between kibble and natural food and how most animals get nowhere near the amount or type of nutrients they need to be healthy. This leads us to the largest discussion of the podcast where Dr. Judy does a full breakdown of how we SHOULD be feeding our pets as opposed to what is pushed and used on the majority of pet and animal population. This is a disturbing set of circumstances and facts but a blessing that someone like Dr. Judy is here to help bring this to light. She concludes discussing her passion for writing pet books and what the future for her writing and work looks like!
Dr. Judy's work is impactful and enlightening, based on decades of work and experience. She does God's work and is doing everything in her power to ensure that the world is educated and able to get their pets the proper care to ensure they live the longest and healthiest lives.
