En este episodio conversamos con Ashley Frangie, una de las creadoras del reconocido podcast Se Regalan Dudas, quien nos comparte la historia detrás de su camino personal y profesional, así como las experiencias que la llevaron a construir una plataforma que hoy inspira a millones de personas.
Ashley creció en una familia muy particular dentro del contexto de la cultura mexicana: un hogar liberal, abierto y profundamente curioso por la vida. Desde pequeña fue impulsada a explorar el mundo, cuestionar las cosas y conocerse a sí misma. Sin embargo, ese ambiente contrastaba con su experiencia en una escuela católica, donde comenzó a darse cuenta de que la dinámica de su casa no era necesariamente la norma. Fue también durante esos años cuando empezó a cuestionar su relación con su propio cuerpo, creciendo con inseguridades al no sentirse dentro del estándar de delgadez que la sociedad suele imponer.
Uno de los momentos que más marcaron su vida fue cuando sus padres la enviaron a un campamento de verano siendo aún muy pequeña. Ese primer viaje le abrió los ojos a la diversidad del mundo: conocer otras culturas, personas e ideas le permitió reconectar con su confianza y empezar a reconciliarse con su identidad. A partir de ahí, viajar se convirtió en una constante en su vida.
Con el tiempo, esa curiosidad la llevó a estudiar fotografía, una carrera que transformó profundamente su manera de ver el mundo. Con el apoyo de su familia decidió perseguir su pasión y mudarse a Nueva York para seguir aprendiendo de fotógrafos reconocidos. Más adelante se trasladó a Los Ángeles, donde abrió su propio estudio y ejerció su profesión durante varios años.
Fue en ese camino donde eventualmente nació Se Regalan Dudas, un proyecto que comenzó desde la curiosidad y la conversación honesta, y que terminaría convirtiéndose en uno de los podcasts más influyentes en español.
Ashley reflexiona sobre la libertad de cuestionar, la importancia de tomar riesgos y el valor de construir una vida alineada con nuestras pasiones. Una historia que nos recuerda que explorar, dudar y atrevernos a elegir nuestro propio camino también puede ser una forma poderosa de encontrarnos a nosotros mismos.
