En este episodio escuchamos la historia de Francisco Aguilar, quien nació con el síndrome de Treacher Collins, una condición poco común que afecta el desarrollo de los huesos y tejidos faciales. Desde pequeño, Francisco tuvo que enfrentar miradas, prejuicios y obstáculos sociales debido a su condición. Su familia consideró inscribirlo en escuelas especiales, pero pronto comprendieron que su lugar estaba en una escuela regular, donde forjó una resiliencia que marcaría el rumbo de su vida.
A lo largo de los años, Francisco se sometió a 14 cirugías reconstructivas para remodelar distintas áreas de su rostro. Lejos de rendirse ante el dolor físico y emocional, cada procedimiento le dejó valiosas lecciones sobre paciencia, autocontrol y persistencia.
Desde temprana edad descubrió su sensibilidad artística a través del dibujo, la actuación y la creación, encontrando en ellas un refugio. Con el apoyo incondicional de su madre, Francisco comenzó a estudiar diseño de modas mientras aún cursaba la preparatoria. Su talento y dedicación lo llevaron hasta Milán, donde concluyó su carrera y vivió un choque cultural que lo hizo crecer aún más como ser humano y como artista.
Gracias a las redes sociales, Francisco descubrió que no estaba solo: encontró una comunidad de personas con Treacher Collins. Esto le abrió los ojos a la dura realidad de muchas personas con su misma condición que no han tenido las mismas oportunidades que él, motivándolo a compartir su voz y su historia para visibilizar el síndrome, generar conciencia social y convertirse en un referente para quienes han sido marginados. Aunque no se considera activista, Francisco busca inspirar a otros a alzar la voz, creer en sí mismos y luchar por sus sueños, sin importar las adversidades.
