En este episodio de Dinero Más Inteligente, Juan Carlos Herrera y Valeria Ovalle conversan con Julio Cacho, matemático, actuario, economista y doctor por Princeton especializado en asset allocation, para responder una pregunta fundamental: ¿existe una forma científica de invertir?
A partir de su experiencia académica y profesional administrando patrimonio para algunas de las familias más sofisticadas de Estados Unidos, Julio explica cómo el método científico puede aplicarse al mundo de las inversiones. La conversación explora conceptos como evidencia empírica, peer review, replicabilidad y la diferencia entre teorías financieras y resultados observados en la práctica.
También comparte lo que descubrió trabajando dentro de uno de los family offices más grandes del mundo: que muchos de los rendimientos que parecen provenir de una habilidad extraordinaria suelen explicarse por factores como paciencia, exposición al riesgo y costos de implementación, más que por la capacidad de predecir el futuro o encontrar constantemente oportunidades ocultas.
