En este episodio de Dinero Más Inteligente, Juan Carlos Herrera y Valeria Ovalle conversan con Miguel Mayorga, quien después de casi 18 años dentro de GBM ha desarrollado una perspectiva única sobre inversiones, empresas y creación de patrimonio. A lo largo de su carrera ha participado en áreas como análisis fundamental, emprendimiento, growth, marketing y producto, experiencias que han moldeado su forma de entender los negocios y las inversiones.
Miguel comparte cómo llegó al mundo financiero siendo ingeniero industrial y cómo comenzó su trayectoria dentro del equipo de análisis de GBM. A partir de esa experiencia explica cómo se construye una tesis de inversión, qué elementos son realmente importantes al analizar una empresa y por qué entender un negocio suele ser más valioso que seguir tendencias o recomendaciones de mercado.
La conversación profundiza en una de sus inversiones más representativas: Gruma. A través de este caso analiza cómo identificar cambios estructurales dentro de una compañía y por qué algunas de las mejores oportunidades aparecen cuando el mercado mantiene una percepción negativa sobre una empresa que está transformándose.
Además, Miguel explica cómo construye actualmente su patrimonio y por qué mantiene una estrategia relativamente concentrada. Entre sus principales posiciones destacan empresas como Grupo México, Pinfra y Asur, negocios que considera capaces de generar valor durante décadas gracias a sus ventajas competitivas, capacidad de reinversión y calidad operativa.
