El consultor financiero Arturo Blasco ha relatado en el programa 'Herrera en COPE' el calvario que vive desde hace un mes, durante el cual ha sufrido hasta diez suplantaciones de identidad en sus redes sociales, seis de ellas en Instagram. Los ciberdelincuentes copian su perfil, con sus fotos y vídeos, para contactar con sus seguidores y amigos en su nombre, ofreciendo falsas oportunidades de inversión y prometiendo ganancias rápidas.
Arturo Blasco ha explicado, en conversación con Sergio Barbosa, que descubrió el engaño tarde, cuando sus propios amigos le contactaron por privado para preguntarle si se había creado una nueva cuenta. "Oye, ¿te has hecho una nueva cuenta?", le preguntó un conocido con el que se cruzó por la calle, momento en el que saltaron todas las alarmas. Al buscar el perfil falso, comprobó que le habían suplantado la identidad por completo.
