El Banco de España ha elevado a 750.000 el número de viviendas que faltan en nuestro país, advirtiendo que la situación irá a peor. Este es el desolador panorama que ha analizado el experto en vivienda y profesor de la Universidad de Comillas, Leandro Escobar, en el programa 'Herrera en COPE' junto a Jorge Bustos, donde ha desgranado las claves de uno de los principales problemas de España.
La escasez se concentra principalmente en seis provincias: Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Valencia, Murcia y Málaga. Según los datos expuestos, en el último año se han creado 240.000 hogares, pero solo se han entregado 92.000 inmuebles terminados, una brecha que explica el déficit. Escobar ha detallado el cálculo: "España viene ganando población como alrededor de medio millón de personas cada año, y eso, pues, supone que se está generando alrededor de unos 200.000 hogares [...] y la construcción solo alcanza, pues, unos 90.000".
