¿Quién fue el primer periodista de la historia? ¿Y cuando surgió el primer periódico? De la mano del periodista Álvaro Anula Pulido comprobaremos la importancia que ha tenido, desde la invención de la imprenta, los pliegos de cordel, una literatura popular difundida a través de pliegos que vendían los ciegos cantores y que sirvieron, en buena medida, para que el público se enterara de lo que sucedía en el mundo. David Sentinella se remontará a épocas egipcias, griegas y romanas donde los Anales y el “Acta Diurna” de Julio César se pueden considerar antecedentes de este protoperiodismo. Carlos Canales hará referencia a la “Gazeta de Madrid”, una publicación periódica oficial editada en el siglo XVII donde se hacían eco de sucesos, convirtiéndose en el primer periódico de información general que surge en España. Marcos Carrasco hablará de la similitud entre el cómic y los romances de ciego, un arte secuencial estampado en las torturas de San Erasmo o en el tapiz de Bayeux, recordando también al padre de la historieta moderna que fue Rudolphe Töpffer. Juan Ignacio Cuesta comentará el uso del sirventés, composición poética propia de los trovadores que mostraban opiniones satíricas, y hasta nos cantará una canción en la lengua de Oc. Miguel Salas glosará la figura del cronista Jerónimo de Barrionuevo y sus “Avisos del Madrid de los Austrias”, leyéndonos algunos sabrosos ejemplos de cómo se daban estos cotilleos. Jesús Callejo nos adentrará en los pliegos que hablaban de bestias fantásticas y podremos escuchar el inicio del romance “La Fiera Zurrupia” en la voz de Rafa Casette. Terminaremos con un texto escatológico y muy pragmático, cuyo título lo dice todo: “Virtudes del cagar”.
