Tras la mítica batalla de Covadonga empieza un periodo histórico en el cual el reino de Asturias tiene el deseo de rememorar las glorias del reino visigodo de Toledo, del que se consideraban herederos. Y una de sus características es la construcción de templos religiosos. Así empieza el denominado Arte Prerrománico Asturiano, un conjunto de manifestaciones artísticas que se produjeron entre el año 722 y el 910, cuando Ordoño II traslada la corte a León. Nuestro invitado José María Sadia, periodista especializado en Patrimonio y Transformación Digital, autor de “El románico español”, nos hablará de sus peculiaridades y las razones de que muchos de esos edificios hayan sido declarados por la UNESCO Patrimonio de la Humanidad, como ocurre con Santa María del Naranco, San Miguel de Lillo, San Julián de los Prados o la iglesia de Santa Cristina de Lena, sin olvidarnos de la singularidad de San Salvador de Valdediós o de los capiteles eróticos de las iglesias de Villaviciosa.
Por su parte, David Madrazo, autor de “50 lugares mágicos de Asturias”, nos hará un recorrido por sus lugares favoritos que aún conservan un toque de misterio, como puede ser la iglesia de Santianes de Pravia y su famoso “laberinto de Silo” o la Cámara Santa de la catedral de Oviedo en la que se albergan objetos de orfebrería religiosa tan prodigiosos como la Cruz de la Victoria o la Cruz de los Ángeles.
