Petri representa a una generación de mujeres que llegan a un momento de la vida en el que se ven cuidando de cuatro generaciones diferentes: la de su madre, de ella y de su marido, de su hija y de su yerno… Y, ahora, la de su nieto. Lo hacen sin recibir remuneración ni apenas reconocimiento público. Son invisibles.
Cada miércoles, Petri hace el trayecto desde su pueblo, Alcolea de Calatrava, en Ciudad Real, hasta la casa de su hija Marina, en Madrid. Petri se queda en la casa de su hija hasta el viernes para cuidar a Isaac, su nieto, el hijo de Marina, que tiene menos de un año, para que Marina y su pareja puedan trabajar.
Hasta hace pocos meses, Petri también cuidaba de su madre, de 96 años. Ahora la han ingresado en una residencia porque sufre demencia senil, pero igualmente, Petri la visita a diario y es la persona que la acompaña al hospital cuando hace falta.
