Programa 519: Córdoba, de ciudad mágica a Patrimonio de la Humanidad

Su situación estratégica, cercana al río Guadalquivir, antaño navegable, y la herencia de los distintos pueblos asentados en sus tierras, han convertido a Córdoba en un lugar privilegiado lleno de historias y misterios. De hecho, la UNESCO reconoció en 1994 la importancia universal de sus bienes históricos, ampliando el título de Patrimonio de la Humanidad no sólo a la Mezquita-Catedral, sino también a todo el conjunto urbano que la rodea.
En esta ocasión, desde la Sala Orive, al lado del palacio renacentista de Orive (donde dicen que pulula el fantasma de doña Blanca), se grabó este programa especial que, junto al equipo de La Escóbula, contó con su alcalde, José María Bellido, para hablarnos de por qué esta ciudad tiene más Patrimonio de la Humanidad que cualquier otra, haciendo referencia a Medina Azahara y a la Fiesta de los Patios, reconocida en 2012 como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial.
El historiador Manuel García Parody, académico de la Real Academia de la Historia y la Real Academia de Córdoba, autor de “La otra historia de España” y “Nuevos paseos por Córdoba”, nos hablará de figuras importantes que tuvieron su relevancia en Córdoba como fueron Séneca, Averroes, Maimónides o Hasday Ibn Shaprut y también sobre el pasado, presente y el futuro de la Mezquita-Catedral. El escritor José Manuel Morales Gajete, autor de “Enigmas y misterios de Córdoba”, nos contará algunas leyendas y curiosidades de la etapa califal y medieval, donde convivían tres culturas, y sobre algunos personajes no tan visibles.
Marcos Carrasco hablará de la pintura y las musas de Julio Romero de Torres. David Sentinella sobre la mística sufí andalusí Fátima de Córdoba. Juan Ignacio Cuesta nos cantará un poema inspirado en “El collar de la paloma”, datado en el siglo XI y Jesús Callejo nos llevará a la biblioteca califal que llegó a albergar 400.000 volúmenes, terminando en bibliocausto por obra y gracia de Almanzor.
