Los amantes de la Serie B tienen sus puntos de encuentro en los festivales B-Retina de Cornellá y CutreCon de Madrid. Y algunas son tan malas o absurdas que se han convertido en “películas de culto” y algunas de bulto. Haremos una buena selección de ellas con nuestro invitado Javier Iriarte, subdirector de programación de Atresmedia, que ha elegido “Psicosis” (de Gus Van Sant), “La isla del Dr. Moreau” (con Marlon Brando), “Saló o los 120 días de Sodoma” (de Passolini), “Beau tiene miedo” (de Ari Aster), “Calígula” (de Tinto Brass), “Plan 9 del espacio exterior” (de Ed Wood) o “Tiburón, la venganza” (la cuarta parte que protagonizó Michael Caine).
Guillermo Díaz no se queda corto en su selección sui generis hablando de “OT, la película”, “Megatiburón vs crocosaurio”, “Vampiras lesbianas asesinas” o “Mulholland Drive”. Pepa Llausas arremete contra “Pink Flamingos” (de John Waters, con Divine), “La pasión de Cristo” (de Mel Gibson), “Tu madre se ha comido a mi perro”, “Holocausto caníbal” o la peli musical “La llamada” (de los Javis). Jesús Callejo abordará, en plan sanguinario, las infumables “Slaxx, los pantalones asesinos” y “Yo compré una moto vampiro”. Juan Ignacio Cuesta contará que intervino de extra en la película de Jacinto Molina “La noche de Walpurgis” y lo poco que le gustó “Mansiones verdes”. David Sentinella atacará con “Campo de Batalla: la Tierra” (con John Travolta y la Cienciología por medio). Carlos Canales no puede dejar pasar la legendaria y paranoica “Karate a muerte en Torremolinos” con el malévolo Dr. Malvedades y sus cuatro karatecas zombies. Y Fran Izuzquiza se atreve con “Glitter, todo lo que brilla” (con una estrella, Mariah Carey, un tanto estrellada).
