Hace apenas unos días, Daisy, una niña de diez años en Chiapas, dio a luz. Diez años. La edad en la que deberías estar aprendiendo a multiplicar, coleccionando estampas, jugando a las escondidas. No dando a luz. No sangrando hasta el desmayo porque tu cuerpo no está preparado para gestar.
Y lo más terrible es que Daisy no es un caso aislado. México registra más de 9,000 nacimientos de niñas entre 10 y 14 años cada año. Nueve mil. Y más del 90% son producto de violencia sexual.
En esta columna les hablo de todo lo que falla cuando permitimos que esto suceda: la escuela que no detectó señales, el centro de salud que no cuestionó, la fiscalía que no investigó, la comunidad que normalizó, el Estado que permitió que un adulto se presentara como "esposo" de una niña.
Pero también les hablo de las rutas claras que tenemos para revertir esto: educación sexual integral, métodos anticonceptivos accesibles, fiscalías capacitadas, cumplimiento de la NOM-046, políticas específicas para niñas indígenas.
