Laura Estremera: Mitos sobre el desarrollo motor de los niños

En un mundo donde lo tecnológico ha invadido todos los ámbitos de la vida, los bebés humanos siguen necesitando al nacer lo mismo que necesitaba un bebé cavernícola: el contacto físico, que atiendan su llanto, dormir cuando tienen sueño o comer cuando tienen hambre.
Algo tan sencillo —y complejo en estos tiempos— como la atención de los adultos. Así lo mantiene la psicóloga y psicomotricista Laura Estremera: "Nuestros niños y niñas no van a poder durante muchos años responder las necesidades por ellos mismos y van a necesitar a un adulto. Si atiendo las necesidades y los trato bien, se irá creando ese vínculo de apego seguro".
Laura Estremera es maestra de audición y lenguaje, técnico superior en educación infantil, psicóloga y psicomotricista relacional especialista en atención temprana con formación en pedagogía Pikler. Ha trabajado durante varios años como tutora de educación infantil y actualmente dirige un proyecto de psicomotricidad vivenciada. Además, Estremera es autora de los libros 'Criando', 'Ser niños acompañados' o 'Déjalos ser niños'. En su última obra, 'Criar con apego seguro', ofrece una completa guía de crianza para abordar las necesidades de niños y niñas según su etapa evolutiva.
"En el juego libre, los niños y niñas se desarrollan en toda su globalidad, porque favorece su desarrollo motor, cognitivo y socioafectivo", defiende la psicomotricista, que también hace hincapié en la importancia de tener en cuenta el momento de desarrollo de cada niño para poder acompañarlos. Estremera nos invita a reflexionar sobre nuestra mirada sobre la infancia, cuestiona el uso de pantallas y pone el acento en el plano motor. Una perspectiva que nos acerca a las necesidades básicas de aquel bebé de hace 200 mil años.
