Juan consumió sustancias durante 25 años, desde los 11 hasta los 36. Nunca conoció la vida sobrio. Lo que consumía le dejó secuelas neurológicas permanentes: aún escucha voces que le dicen qué hacer, qué callar, a quién lastimar. Lleva dos años limpio en prisión porque un comandante eliminó todas las sustancias del penal, no por voluntad propia.

Su hijo de 18 años está anexado por adicción. Juan quiere ser su ejemplo, demostrarle que se puede salir. Pero tiene miedo y sabe que solo, sin ayuda psiquiátrica, no podrá resistir. Su cabeza tiene precio. Su propia madre podría entregarlo.
Su abuela lo crió mientras sus padres consumían. Ella murió enojada con él en 2020, decepcionada al descubrir que fumaba sustancias. Juan estaba comprando a lo que era adicto cuando le avisaron. Nunca pudo despedirse. Nunca pudo mostrarle al hombre trabajador que ella esperaba ver.
Este episodio habla de las secuelas invisibles de la adicción, del daño que persiste aunque el cuerpo esté limpio, de la culpa que no se borra con la abstinencia. Habla del miedo a la libertad cuando la calle significa recaída. Y habla de la pregunta que aún no tiene respuesta: ¿es posible cambiar cuando toda tu vida hubo adicciones?
