A los 20 años, su madre murió en sus brazos el día de su cumpleaños cuando lo vio escapado del anexo donde estaba internado por adicciones. Desde ahí su vida se hundió en una espiral de drogas, violencia y pérdida hasta que despertó en prisión sin recordar siquiera qué había hecho.
Hoy cumple 17 años por robo. Estaba tan intoxicado que no recuerda qué robó. Su historia va mucho más allá de ese delito.
Octavio empezó a consumir drogas a los 12 años en Garibaldi vendiendo chicles mientras su padre cantaba como mariachi. A los 14 ya se drogaba con su propio padre. Las adicciones se volvieron su escape de una realidad insoportable.
Este es uno de los episodios más duros de Penitencia. Detrás de los tatuajes que la gente juzga hay una vida que creció en sufrimiento extremo, donde nadie llegó a tiempo para romper el ciclo de violencia que empezó antes de que él naciera.
