-----------------
Jafet Sainz shares his story from his early days in the transportation business at 21 to becoming one of Mexico's most important and controversial transport leaders.
---------------------
----------------------
Jafet tells us how a clash with groups from Ecatepec landed him in prison for the first time, charged with property damage. For a year and ten months at Cuautitlán prison, he experienced the harsh reality of Mexico's penitentiary system, from the guards' brutal "welcome" to living alongside people from all walks of life who'd committed every kind of crime.
But his story doesn't end there. After getting out and rebuilding his life from nothing, Jafet founded ACME, an organization that now brings together over 230,000 people in transportation, commerce, and other sectors. His fight against extortion, monopolies, and corruption has made him a controversial figure who's faced multiple fabricated investigation files, bogus arrest warrants, and even an Interpol red notice.
In this no-holds-barred conversation, Jafet talks about the thin line between defending rights and using controversial tactics, the power of grassroots organizing, government corruption, civilian self-defense groups, and how Mexico's justice system can be weaponized against those who dare to challenge the status quo.
An episode that exposes the complexities of transportation in Mexico, the manufacturing of criminal charges, systematic extortion, and the struggle of thousands of people trying to survive in a hostile environment where justice is often up for sale.
